We have an Upload Limit of 200mbs per file. If your file exceeds that limit, you will experience upload issues. In order to upload that file, it needs to be split into two before attempting to upload.
We currently do not have a built-in option in Scan123 to split certain pages from your file nor do we have that option when emailing from Scan123. The splitting of PDF files will require the work of 3rd party applications such as Adobe DC Pro or Google Chrome and then using your default email application to send that file.
Unfortunately, with Adobe, it requires Adobe DC Pro (Paid). Luckily, there Is a way to split PDF files using Google Chrome, but it will require some work. Please follow the steps below for more information.
To split a PDF file, we will first need to configure your Google Chrome to launch PDF files automatically. (https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/6213030?hl=en)
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
- At the bottom, click Advanced.
- Under "Privacy and security," click Site settings.
- Near the bottom, click PDF documents.
- Turn off Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome.
Chrome will now open PDFs automatically when you click them.
Next, you will want to download the file from Scan123. Once downloaded, it will show on the bottom left of Google Chrome, please click on it to open in Chrome.
Your PDF should open in Google Chrome and if you move your mouse to the top right of the PDF, you will see a Print icon. Click on that option.
Next you will want to edit the Destination to Save as PDF > Pages to Custom > Below the Custom Dropdown is a field you can enter to choose which pages you wish to only Save as a PDF. Examples could be 2, 2-4, 4-10, etc. Once you have these settings set and the pages you want in the field, Press Save near the bottom.
It should now prompt you on where to save the PDF file, the easiest location is on your desktop. Please select Desktop on the left hand side and press Save.
The PDF file with just the pages you need will now be on your Desktop. You are able to now attach that file to your default email application and send it.
