Scan123 requires a TWAIN compliant document scanner but not all TWAIN models will work. Please review all of the below information carefully before purchasing a scanner.
Certified Scanners
We recommend the Fujitsu-fi series scanners because we’ve found them to be extremely reliable and long-lasting.
Fujitsu/Ricoh fi-8170
Fujitsu/Ricoh fi-8150
These are the newest and most up to date models. While the fi-7000 series is still compatible, it is no longer being manufactured, and therefore can only be purchase as a used device. In order to future-proof your scanning station, we recommend the newest model.
Other Recommendations (Not Certified)
Our software has worked with most other desktop scanners that use a TWAIN compliant driver. These are not certified with Scan123 but will work.
We do warn that depending on the Scanner, some settings require additional configuration and some issues can occur due to the Scanner's Manufacturer software and not Scan123.

Not Compatible/Not Supported
It is absolutely critical the below devices not be purchased with the intention of using on the platform as advertised, there are no exceptions as there are insurmountable technical compatibility issues.

A ScanSnap, identified by an IX or S preceding its numeric model number, while attractive in price, is completely incompatible with our application. This is due to its design using a proprietary driver.

Panasonic Document Scanners (technical issues)
Xerox Documate Series (technical issues)
All-in-One Printer/Scanner combos (any brand)(not supported)
